Key Activities/ Objectives of this role: The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to users regarding hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing technical problems, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems, and maintaining IT infrastructure.
Role Requirements / Skills & Qualifications: 61 Provide technical support for desktop systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting. 61 Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. 61 Assist with the deployment and management of operating systems and applications. 61 Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner. 61 Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless support and service delivery. 61 Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions. 61 Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices and usage of desktop systems. 61 Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required. 61 Log all tickets in ITSM tool 61 Keeping server room reasonably tidy, secure and free from unused devices or furniture Knowledge 61 Proven experience as a Desktop Specialist or similar role. 61 Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows) and common software applications. 61 Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 61 Familiarity with network protocols and configurations. 61 Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 61 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
