This role requires working cross-team to help business to reach goals of focusing on patient needs whilst maintain highest ethical standards and strong respect for rules and regulations. This role is a key advisor and problem solver. Direct line reporting is to the China compliance head and support for compliance advocacy (polices, procedures, training), systems (speaker management and activity approval, etc.), and compliance operations (monitoring, investigations). Specific duties and responsibilities include: - Continues to enhance a best-in-class compliance program and to be in partnership with the Affiliate Compliance Insight Forum (ACIF) to support AbbVie’s business in China. - Leads the compliance operation team to continuously develop, implement, enhance and execute risk-based transactional monitoring, event live monitoring, distributor monitoring, third party program monitoring (PSP, sponsorship and collaboration program, etc.) and forensic review plan to ensure effective risk control and compliance with policies and procedures. - Support management to define and implement improvement strategy and actions regarding revealed compliance issues (monitoring result, process gap, investigation result follow up). - Assist Compliance Head to perform regular compliance risk assessment, trend analysis and best practice recommendations. - Leads continuous enhancement on third party risk management process and oversee the review and approval of EDD/DD processes on third parties. - Utilizes compliance analytics or AI tool to execute compliance risk analysis and alert. Lead and empower commercial team to prevent compliance risks through proactive and effective management. - Assists Affiliate on compliance audits, oversees the fulfillment of auditors’ requests, acts as liaison between business and auditors during on site activities, evaluates and responds to all basic and routine preliminary findings and recommendations, assists the Compliance Head to guide the business in preparing corrective action to address basic and routine findings and recommendations, and ensures timely completion. - Lead or act as the key contributor to various complex compliance enhancement programs, bring valuable insights to the project plan and proactively drive the progress of the projects by engaging global and affiliate level leadership team and x-functional stakeholders. - Develop, review, and update compliance-related policies and procedures; Ensure that all the new policies are communicated effectively across the organization. - Champion speak-up, transparency and a culture of integrity. Develop resources and tools to increase awareness and understanding of compliance matters, fostering a culture of compliance and integrity. - Join different level of compliance team meetings/goals; provide insights on compliance policy/process improvement. - Connect between business team and compliance team to ensure voice from each side can be well heard and understood (e.g. feedbacks of policy update implementation, concern/suggestion of compliance process, request for change or help, etc.).
