Development and implementation of the global, local policies, processes, methods and tools - Lead the localization of global policies, process, methods and tools in Greater China and establishing an effective local practice framework - Define strategies for local policies based on the regulation changes and adapt them into local practices effectively - Promote continuous improvement of compliance to secure a healthy and sustainable business operation - Develop and drive the execution of Internal Control Program- including cockpits, audits, spot checks, design and effectiveness monitoring, and corrective actions - Proactively monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely adaptation to compliance requirements
Trade Compliance management - Monitoring: lead customs audits and/or health checks and implement corrective actions and remediations, and provide strategies for prevention measures and controls - Risk Management: analyze and report incidents/non-compliance issues to the Managing Director and Corporate Trade Compliance and collaborate with related functions to ensure the corrective actions are taken to address the issue and preventive measures are implemented to avoid similar situation in the future. - Training: plan, develop and conduct regular training sessions for relevant functions within Dr01ger and with business partners to improve awareness of trade compliance requirements - Tools: direct the establishment of tools for trade compliance master data creation, controls, and develop methods or support automation and digitalization to enhance trade compliance process accuracy and efficiency - Project management: initiate, lead projects and/or tasks related to trade compliance (i.e. Customs voluntary disclosure, customs pre-ruling application, tariff structure proposal) and contribute strategies and recommendations in support of business objectives
Collaboration with Stakeholders - Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs and other government authorities to address inquires and exchange information on regulation and customs initiatives - Act as point of contact for internal trade compliance health checks and external customs audits - Work collaboratively with import/export operations, order management, logistic team and external business partners such as customs brokers, logistic service providers and 3rd party trade compliance consultants (if existent) to guide them to ensure their compliance with the trade compliance requirements of Dr01ger and local laws, and embed trade compliance into business operations - Provide strategic advice and recommendations to internal stakeholders by identifying benefits through tariff scheme, utilization of free trade agreements and country of origin - As a member of global Trade Compliance team, provide input on local practices and regulatory updates, and exchange trade compliance information with the global/regional Trade Compliance team.
Leadership - Lead and manage subordinated employees including headcount planning, recruiting, define and assessment of employees’ performance, professional development, compensation review, health & safety, motivation and enabling employees to optimize their contribution to the department, align with next higher level manager if necessary - Lead subordinated employees for environmental, health and safety topics. Ensure that all environmental, health and safety laws, regulations and practices are met and adhered to the protection of the environmental as well as the health and safety of employees. Ensure that full co-operation is given to the responsible persons in relation to environmental conscious behavior and processes, health working, safety training, risk assessment and accident reporting incidences
