Position Summary: You will lead the key initiatives and data analysis to further strengthen our regional trade compliance processes, drive standardization and financial performance, provide governance and guidance while reducing risk. You will report to GLOBAL TRADE MANAGER.
Your Responsibilities: - Given the scope of this program, we are looking for a Trade specialist who will help us drive the following: o Lead regularly scheduled cross functional meetings to promote collaboration (including but not limited to finance, Trade Management, Classification, Global Trade, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, materials, process excellence, etc.) o Implement trade compliance policies and procedures by providing formal and informal communications and guidance to internal and external customers regarding export and import activities o Ongoing compliance training leader providing oversight, escalation, and leadership to educate others in trade compliance o Responsible for implementation of best practices globally to support standardization o Assist in broker standardization, implementation of KPI's, tracking of issues logs and driving improvements o Lead continuous improvement & productivity initiatives; implement changes required by regulatory updates o Support of documenting Compliance Policies, Procedures and Manuals o Support, advise and inform other functional areas as needed for special programs and projects. o Provide support in connection with SAP and external system integrations. o Make formal presentations in meetings, respond to questions from leadership, employees, customers and vendors related to export/import compliance. o Provide support in connection with internal/external audits and investigations. o Establish compliance assessment audits, assist in investigations and support the implementation of corrective actions - You will be driving continuous improvement of Global Customs compliance. - You will implement process efficiencies, while promoting consistency across team and focusing on regulatory compliance. - You will develop and provide training to employees and guidance/interpretation of the regulations and oversee and guide export and import compliance matters while effectively interacting with employees at all levels and will work both independently and with other members of the organization on a variety of international trade compliance matters, and developing and implementing appropriate strategies to meet business requirements. - You will provide the necessary leadership to perpetuate and enhance the Rockwell Automation culture of providing superior quality and customer service as perceived by the customer.
The Essentials - You Will Have: - Bachelor's Degree with five plus years of experience in relevant field (e.g. International Business, Business, Trade Compliance, Import, Export, etc.)
The Preferred - You Might Also Have: - Licensed Customs Broker. - Five or more years of experience in import / export / customs for a high tech company.
