1.) To establish & implement L&E’s ‘Internal’ Compliance Systems and Standards and continuously update it so as to keep abreast with the market’s Requirements, with the emphasis on the scope that we are able to fulfill; a. ALL Brands’ Compliance Requirements b. ALL Country Local Legal Requirements c. International Labor Organization Requirements d. Any other NEW Compliance-related Requirements surface anytime
2.) To monitor and follow-up with the respective Local Compliance Reps on the implementation and execution of L&E’s ‘Internal’ Compliance System & Standards, via; a. SMSAC; Suppliers Performance Assessment, SEA Compliance Performance Assessment; Annual Audit, FSC Certification, Environmental Requirements, RSLs Requirements among others b. To conduct regular meetings (either Group, or selected few) with the respective Local Compliance Reps
3.) To understand and execute respective Brands’ Compliance Requirements in our relevant Supply Base, via; a. To work with respective Local Compliance Reps (with the knowledge from respective Country Managers) on the implementation & execution of the respective Brands’ Compliance Requirements b. To ensure Local Compliance Reps conduct ‘Pre-Prep’ Audit before any audit designated by the Brands c. To ensure Brands’ Compliance Audits findings & CAPs are resolved & closed on-time d. To ensure our Products comply with the respective Brands’ RSL Requirements, including respective Country’s Legal RSL Requirements
4.) To monitor and ‘step-in’ to resolve Critical Compliance-related issue(s) from any Supplier Facility, via; a. To meet-up with the ‘affected’ Facility along with the Local Compliance Reps to express the concern and determine the effectiveness of CAPs b. To monitor and follow-up with the Local Compliance Reps so as to ensure the prompt closing of the Critical Compliance-related issue(s) and its effectiveness
5.) To attend Brands’ Compliance-related training, and to discuss with respective Brands on any probable concerns/issues with regards to their Compliance-related Requirements
6.) To train and disseminate any NEW Compliance-related Requirements to ALL Local Compliance Reps
7.) To continuously work with the Compliance Team on improving L&E Compliance-related Performances
8.) To ensure Compliance-related trainings are planned and provided for ALL Compliance Team members so that they are qualified to conduct their audit effectively & efficiently
9.) To manage and maintain L&E’s FSC Certification
The key Requirements for this role will be as follows: 1.) To travel frequently within L&E Operations either for follow-up work and training
2.) To shadow at least ONE ‘Internal’ Audit with EACH L&E Local Compliance Rep annually as part of the Brand’s Requirements (part of Self-Governance Criteria), as to assess the Local Compliance Rep Audit Performance
3.) To attend Customers’ Audits, Briefings, Trainings and scheduled ‘Meet-Ups’
4.) To communicate concisely and clearly within L&E Ops, and if need to, with Suppliers Management
5.) To keep abreast with the latest updated ‘Compliance-related’ Requirements via respective Brands Websites
