Roles & Responsibilities: The position holder is responsible to provide quality administrative supports mainly in learning and teaching for XJTLU Wisdom Lake Academy of Pharmacy. The role-holder will be expected to support the programme directors and academic staff of the Academy, and work closely with other professional services staff members in academic-related activities. The role-holder will need to build strong working relationship with other functions across Academy and university, such as Registry, Education Quality Assurance, Academic Services Office, Library etc., and will be expected to proactively contribute to different kinds of events at university/school/department level, including the University graduation ceremonies, Open Day, student programme choice, and other academic-related events. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a positive attitude, a high level of reliability and professionalism, strong communication and organizational skills, and work flexibility. 1. Act as the administrator to academic-related meetings and provide all support required, including document collection and dissemination, preparation of minutes and coordination of follow-up actions 2. Provide academic administrative supports to Academy-level committees, including Academy Learning and Teaching Committee, Academy Research Committee, Academy International Committee, Academy Student-Staff Liaison Committee and Student Progress Committee, etc. 3. Act as a bridge between Education Quality Assurance Office (EQA) and the Academy, and contribute to Academy level internal and external Quality Assurance Processes e.g. IPR, annual review and external accreditation review, ensuring that the proceedings run on in a timely manner. 4. Coordinate academic support in response to programme applications and modifications 5. Support the smooth running of the programmes, the examination and assessment processes, in conjunction with staff in the Registry and other academic related departments/offices, throughout the academic year, including textbook information collection, timetabling, exam papers collection, moderation coordination and documents translation, exam paper archive, etc. 6. Provide logistics support to staff members of the Academy of Pharmacy 7. Work closely with the Non-degree Training Manager and provide necessary administrative supports to the non-degree training programmes of the Academy of Pharmacy 8. Complete other tasks as assigned by the line manager Qualifications: Experience Essential Self-driven, results-oriented Experience in administration Experience in coordinating activities Experience working and contributing as a part of a team Desirable Experience of working in a Higher Education (HE) context, preferably in an international environment Experience of managing educational projects Educational Background Essential Master’s degree, preferably in biopharmaceutical related areas At least 3 Years of relevant work experience Desirable Other postgraduate qualification in relevant areas General and specialist knowledge Essential Sound awareness of cultural diversity within an international environment Knowledge of UK higher education system Desirable Knowledge of natural science, such as Pharmacy, Biology, and Chemistry Knowledge of issues associated with HE, preferably in an international context.
