As an Academic Administrator based at the Taicang Campus within the School of Languages, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and high-quality support for teaching, assessment, and school initiatives. Working collaboratively with academic staff and the wider Professional Services teams across the University, you will be responsible for the following key areas:
● Act as the main point of contact for Professional Services team support on the Taicang Campus, working closely with the School Manager and academic leaders to ensure consistent, effective service delivery. ● Provide administrative support for modules across languages (e.g., Chinese, EAP, Japanese, Spanish). Coordinate and support assessment processes, including writing and speaking coursework, in-class tests, final exams, internal moderation, and feedback release. ● Support non-credit bearing learning activities (e.g., Summer Immersion Course) and student activities (e.g., cultural activities). ● Assist in budget tracking and reporting for RGP/EFP projects in collaboration with Finance and academic leaders. ● Offer logistical and administrative support to meetings, including agenda creation, document preparation, minutes-taking and action follow-up. ● Other tasks assigned by the School Manager.
Qualifications:
Education, qualifications and training Essential 61 Bachelor degree plus 3 years working experience Desirable 61 Master degree plus 5 years working experience, overseas educational background preferred.
Experience Essential 61 Experience of working in an office environment covering a range of administrative tasks 61 Experience of using the Microsoft Office suite in a workplace Desirable 61 Experience of working in HE context, preferably in an international environment
