At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started back in 2000, we have strived to make the most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create. IntelliJ IDEA and the whole IntelliJ-based IDE family are powerful tools that are underrepresented in Mainland China. The current focus is large Chinese conglomerates and their customers, which we intend to reach through partnerships. We’re looking for a Business Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work to develop relationships with prospective customers and together with our sales team to help the customer adopt JetBrains tools.
As part of our team, you’ll:
- Analyse and determine business opportunities, filter out ineffective contacts and leads. - Design strategy for each prospective customer that we aim to acquire as a new customer account and/or to further expand our cooperation to the next level. - Visit prospective customer offices and/or meet onsite at conferences and other events when necessary. - Work with sales representatives and customer success engineers onboarding customers to JetBrains tools and solutions and design customer growth programs. - Play a key role during the PoC and business negotiation process.
We’ll be happy to have you on our team if you:
- Have experience working in software engineering companies combined with a business-oriented approach and a focus on customer needs. - Are knowledgeable about software development tools, ideally with hands-on experience in software development, QA, system administration, release automation, or a related field. - Experience in cloud computing and remote development solutions is a plus. - Have good problem-solving and analytical skills across technical, product, and business areas, with an ability to grasp a customer’s needs and suggest suitable solutions. - Have 3+ years of experience working in business development in Mainland China and/or 3+ years of customer-facing experience in sales engineering, solution engineering, customer success engineering, or a similar customer-facing field. - Have strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, with native Chinese language and advanced English language skills. - Are experienced in driving technical discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences without going into unnecessary detail. - Are comfortable giving both in-person and remote presentations, holding Q&A sessions, discussing product roadmaps, and delivering product demos. - Are able to work efficiently and successfully without a direct supervision in a distributed team. - Have a proven track record of building and developing relationships in the B2B world. - Are willing and able to travel across Mainland China and internationally.
