Danaher Science and Technology (S&T) Office is tasked with fostering long-term expansion of Danaher’s Diagnostics, Life sciences, and Biotechnology platforms through a dual approach of internal and external innovation. The S&T office’s core functions include:

61 Setting Danaher’s science and technology strategy.
61 Enhancing the company’s portfolio of innovative solutions by pursuing organic growth and strategic alliances across all application domains.
61 Establishing Danaher as a leading voice in the healthcare sector, enhancing its academic influence and brand reputation.
61 Encouraging the dissemination of innovation best practices and nurturing a culture of innovation within the organization.

The Science and Technology Innovation Director, Danaher China will help develop innovation strategic frame, pinpoint innovation opportunities with transformative technologies, lead and drive innovation projects in partnership with internal cross-functional teams and external collaborators. This position reports to Chief Scientific Officer, Danaher China.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
61 Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Danaher’s three core platforms, associated technologies, and developmental pathways, as well as potential areas for technological integration.
61 Build leadership in critical disease areas such as Oncology, Neurology, and Immunology, identify innovation opportunities in diverse clinical pathways.
61 Pinpoint innovation technologies which can streamline drug discovery, biologics production, cell and gene therapy development.
61 Identify and evaluate potential partners, including pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, academic institutions, hospital leaders and government entities, to introduce cutting-edge innovations to Danaher.
61 Coordinate global and China cross-functional teams. , with a focus on leading and implementing BEACON, Nexus, Pioneer, and open innovation initiatives to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
61 Drive collaboration with leading KOLs, publish in high-impact journals and formulate clinical guidelines.
61 Lead the activities of Danaher China Innovation Community, facilitating engagement with R&D and business leaders, and providing S&T and innovation training and education.
61 Cultivate new technical and business talents within the market.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
61 Ph.D degree in Life Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
61 Extensive experience in the Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical/Diagnostics industries; Expertise with related applications and technologies, patents and other intellectual property.
61 Experience having successfully led meaningful R&D and/or Innovation functions.
61 Established research track record as evidenced by publications and/or professional accomplishments.
61 Experience in project management, partnership management and cross-functional collaboration.
61 Ability to combine and apply scientific/technical and business knowledge, apply lateral thinking skills, and demonstrate strong business acumen with an ability to make balanced decisions.
61 Excellent cross-culture interpersonal, organization, communication and influencing skills, in both Chinese and English.
61 Experience influencing various stakeholders to effect change and achieve results in a dynamic, complex environment.
61 Extensive, active and relevant professional network.
