Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll operations for third-party employees in Mainland China, ***, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea. The role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll across these regions while managing a team of payroll professionals based in Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur. Key responsibilities: - Manage and oversee the payroll process for third-party employees across Mainland China, ***, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. - Lead and manage a payroll team based in Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur, providing guidance, support, and ensuring payroll is processed efficiently and accurately. - Collaborate with tax and operations team to ensure all statutory deductions, taxes, benefits, and allowances are correctly calculated and paid according to each country’s regulations. - Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and identify and resolve discrepancies. - Address and resolve any payroll-related queries in a timely, professional manner. - Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation in Mainland China, ***, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea. - Maintain proper documentation and reporting of payroll data to meet internal and external compliance standards. - Collaborate with other departments to ensure payroll processes are integrated smoothly and efficiently. - Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, with exposure to multi-country payroll operations in the region. - Strong knowledge of local payroll systems and statutory requirements in the countries mentioned. - Proven leadership experience managing a diverse team. - Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. - Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. - Proficiency in payroll software and advanced Excel skills. - High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive payroll data with discretion.
